It represents two Armchairs of the latest taste.

The first, on the left, is in crimson Utrecht velvet.*
The walnut wood is sculpted.

The second, on the right, in Aubusson tapestry, flowered, white ground.
The wood is also sculpted walnut.

* an upholstery fabric made of cotton and mohair
